RRB NTPC Exam Date 2025 Confirmed: Expected Timeline and Preparation Tips
If you’re preparing for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam, this update is for you. In a recent session, it was clearly explained when the NTPC exam is likely to be held and why May is not possible for the examination window.
Why the Exam Won’t Be Held in May
The SSC has released its official calendar for 2025-26, and it shows that TCS (the agency conducting both SSC and Railway exams) will be fully occupied with SSC exams from 24th July onwards. That means all TCS-conducted Railway exams, including NTPC, must be completed before 24th July.
Furthermore, the Railway Recruitment Board released a notice on 2nd May, requesting certain candidates to upload their caste certificates by 1st June 2025. This confirms that no RRB NTPC exam will be conducted before 1st June 2025, as document verification will still be ongoing.
Expected RRB NTPC Exam Window
Based on this scheduling, candidates should expect the NTPC exam to take place between 2nd June and 24th July 2025. This is the most likely exam window before TCS becomes fully committed to SSC exams.
Previous Notification and Viral Notice
There was a previous viral notice suggesting that:
- Graduate-level NTPC exams would be held between 2nd June to 22nd June
- Undergraduate-level exams would be held from 28th June to 21st July
While this was initially dismissed as fake, it now aligns with the official SSC calendar and Railway’s document upload deadline—making it a credible timeframe.

As of 10th May, candidates have roughly 30 days to prepare. The message is clear: use this time wisely. Either spend the next month distracted, or commit to focused preparation and improve your chances of selection.
