📝 SBI CBO 2025 Notification Out

The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the notification for Circle Based Officers (CBO) recruitment 2025. With over 2500+ vacancies, this long-awaited opportunity is now live, and the exam is tentatively scheduled for July 2025.

Here are the four key things you must know before filling out the application form.

1️⃣ SBI CBO 2025 Exam Pattern

• Total Marks: 170
  • Objective Test: 120 marks
    • English Language – 30
    • General Awareness/Economy – 30
    • Banking Knowledge – 30
    • Computer Aptitude – 30
  • Descriptive Test: 50 marks (Essay + Letter writing)
• Sectional Timing:
  • Each section has a fixed time (e.g., 30 minutes for English).
  • No sectional cut-offs, only overall score matters.
  • No negative marking for wrong answers.

🕒 Total Duration: 2 hours for objective + separate time for descriptive.

2️⃣ Selection Process

• Stage 1: Online Test (170 Marks)
  • Objective + Descriptive test
• Stage 2: Screening
  • Verification of documents, educational qualifications, and 2 years of banking experience (not in SBI subsidiaries).
• Stage 3: Interview (50 Marks)
  • Candidates must clear a minimum cut-off decided by the bank.

📊 Final Merit Calculation:

• Objective + Descriptive (170 Marks) is converted to 75 marks
• Interview (50 Marks) is converted to 25 marks
• Final Merit List = Total 100 marks

🔁 Circle-wise merit list will be prepared and candidates will be posted in their selected circles only.

3️⃣ Language Proficiency Test (LPT) & Probation

• After the interview, Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will be conducted.
• Selected candidates will undergo a 6-month probation period with continuous assessments.
• During probation, you’ll draw full salary and receive training and performance evaluations.

4️⃣ Job Role, Posting & Salary

• Work Location: Regional office or branch within your selected circle.
• Transfer Eligibility: Transfer allowed only after 12 years of service within the same circle.
• Salary:
  • Approx ₹80,000/month
  • Basic Pay: ₹48,000
  • Additional allowances: HRA, City Compensatory Allowance, Leave Travel, and Special Allowances.
